Charity Calendar Launch

Last Friday, October 13th, the clergy team here at St Mary's helped to launch the Breast Cancer Care Essex and Helen Rollason Cancer Charity Calendar for 2018. 

For the past year, a team of very brave woman, each of whose lives has been touched by the illness have bravely stepped up to be photographed. A number of locations were used including St Mary's Church, Bocking which has the honour of being a part of the December image.

The other side of the camera was Sharon Howard, a local professional photographer who has been fully behind the campaign and put everyone at their ease at each stage. The Revd Rod Reid, Priest in Charge at St Mary's said 'It has been an absolute privilege to be part of this project and I hope that the bravery of these woman will encourage the public to support them by buying this calendar. This is about raising awareness but also the much needed funds for the charity which will allow it to continue to support women through and after a Breast Cancer diagnosis'.
